Story

All people have rights,
we make them accessible.

Yakady is a legal-tech company building software to simplify residency-law procedures. With it, we help migrants and advisors file correct, legally sound applications — and authorities process them.

This is why we founded Yakady.

Yakady didn't start with a business idea. Yakady started with many conversations about justice, equal opportunity, and the question of why people in a state of law so often still don't have access to their rights.

Tamanna and Johannes met during their legal traineeship (Referendariat). They kept discussing how much a person's life can depend on bureaucratic processes — especially in residency law. Quan joined later. He knows the challenges of the system not only from a technical perspective, but from his own experience: when he came to Germany, he went through several residency procedures himself.

The deeper we dug into the topic, the clearer it became: the problem is often not the law itself. The problem is access to it. Laws are complex. Forms are complicated. Language barriers make the process even harder. At the same time, advisory centers are overloaded and authorities are under enormous pressure. The result is a system that is hard to understand and hard to reach for many people.

We combine legal expertise, technical know-how and personal experience to make residency-law procedures more understandable, more digital and more accessible. Our goal is not to replace the people who advise or decide. Our goal is to give them the tools they need. Today we work together with advisory centers, organisations and public actors to simplify access to rights and make administrative processes more efficient.

What defines us

Making rights accessible

Complex laws and confusing forms prevent people from claiming their rights. With Yakady we turn complicated procedures into simple steps.

Technology as a tool

Yakady doesn't replace advice, it strengthens it. So advisors can focus on listening and understanding.

Lived experience

We work hand in hand with advisory centers, authorities and NGOs. Because access to rights only succeeds together.

Shared goals

Free starter tier for every registered NGO. Discounted terms for gemeinnützige Organisationen on the Center plan.
